I had a conversation recently about one of my peers being incarcerated, which has been an ongoing thing for years now. From the outside looking in, you would think they would have gotten the lesson after all this time. But if someone's mind isn't delivered and has been bound by the enemy, you can't just assume 'they should know better by now'. Some people are in situations they never intended to be in, and didn't ask to be in. As I thought about it, I begin to examine myself and all the mistakes I've made; the crazy places I've been and situations that I been in during this thing called life. It could very well be me in there! But God's grace and mercy has followed me throughout the years. I am grateful that His love stretches beyond our faults and mishaps. His love sustains our minds and keep it from veering off the deep end. His love looks beyond our sins, beyond our filthy rags. And in spite of what we do and don't do for Him, He daily loads us with His love. It is an unconditional love that can never be reversed toward us. It is this love, this very love that we must possess toward one another. It is this love that will win the lost to Christ.
How will you show God's love to someone today? It could be the very thing they need to carry them through.
